Parent Counseling

"You will be who you are,
and I will be who I am—
and if we are in luck,
we will get to meet now and then"

Parenting is a beautiful and emotional journey, but it can also be heavy and challenging. Most parents face common struggles — setting boundaries, tantrums, behavioral issues, lack of cooperation, and more.

In my parent counseling, I integrate principles of nonviolent communication and creative parenting. From my experience as both a therapist and a mother, I’ve learned that behind every behavior lies a need — either unmet or being met in a way we may not prefer.

I believe in exploring challenges and behaviors together in order to understand the needs of the child, the parent, and the family as a whole — and to find meaningful ways to address them. Sometimes, a shift in how we perceive a situation can make a powerful difference in our relationships and the atmosphere at home.
